Gesaffelstein - Atmosphere
Gesaffelstein : electronic artist, France, on duty since... Uses techno and electro idioms as tools designed to create a distinctive, closed aural universe. Transforms and appropriates those musical lexicons to write epics and atmospherics that reach beyond dancefloor expectations or illustrative goals. Envisions his work as system of closely related pieces, and not just as a bunch of good tracks. Works on textures and spaces with as much attention as on beats and composition: thinks his music is no less physical than a sculpture or architecture work, and is built as an expression of an objective environment rather than just his own individual thoughts. Listening to Gesaffelstein pieces can't be just a passive, light-headed activity: you need to let yourself fully go inside it. The experience might seem dark and heavy, but it's actually so fine-tuned it ends up giving you an impression of intense satisfaction: it's a deep pleasure to hear an artist express the hard-edged, angst-ridden vibe of our contemporary times with such detail and such perfect sense of form. There's a strong classicist feeling to his whole work: nothing is useless or ill-ordered, every sound and every silence are necessary and strongly tied to the rest of the action. It's like a superior force makes them be just where they are: it's not about a "personal decision", and more about following a grander structure. Things in Gesaffelstein tracks can sometimes get extremely tense, sometimes unbelievably self-assured and dominant, other times just plain cathartic, while they can also just float through grey shadowed areas, being numb and lost. But this wide range of feelings is actually serving one unique design : making proper art music for a never-ending, splendid apocalypse.

Andreas Wiegand aka Andomat 3000 aka DJ Mahatma is usually an impressed Hardtechno- DJ and Producer, who elates this scene for many years with his innovative sound. But his love for music makes him often searching for diversification, so to him it is naturally, to fun around on new musical playgrounds. The history of Andomat 3000 started in 2006, when he and Jan Ivanitz found the project „Andomat 3000 & Jan“. In this case the success came up very accidentally, even if Andi never calculated with positive reactions on his release „Entracte Music“ and the EP „L Delay“ from Luciano’s hip label Cadenza. When he heard of it, he was totally surprised. Since 2008 Andomat 3000, he mostly focused on working solo on own productions, and releases continually with high quality on a number of internationally well-reputated labels like Cecille, Four:Twenty Recordings, Einmaleins Musik or Highgrade Records. His name stands for quality, so it doesn’t wonder at all, that his records are always sold out rapidly and are to be positioned pretty high in the download charts. Apart from productions he continuously works on his skills as a live-act, leading to great parties on dancefloors all over Europe, and also in Russia, Japan and the U.S. His unequivocal fresh sound just attracts everyone. The goal of Andomat 3000 is, to create moving, funny and individual housemusic. But one basic principle can be always found, he is always focussing on one thing: The music has to be funky and has to get to the legs. For him, production and performance are interesting, that would mean the creative process, „self-expression“ and music in the club-context. The opinion of others, like if they find it extremely cool or simply horrible, or how his product will be exploited, doesn‘ t really bother him at all. Being creative is IN! Ich war 13 Jahre, unbeleckt, sauber ... und dann kam House. Den Beat entdeckte ich durch meinen Bruder, eigentlich HipHop - DJ, aber mit Houseambitionen. Nach 2 Jahren intensiver Housearbeit an den Turntables der Familie war es dann soweit. Stephan als Deejay war geboren, und fand durch das damalige „WKS“ Leute, die zu seiner Musik tanzen wollten. Das prägte auch meinen Style, der gerade das ist, was er ist - pumpin’ & groovin’ Beats - weil ich Leute mit House zum feiern bringen wollte, obwohl alles straight auf Techno abging. So war kein Platz zum Musik vorspielen, denn die Crowd musste überzeugt werden. Nach weiteren 2 Jahren schlug meine erste Promo-CD im Joue Joue Club Erfurt "...als Bombe" (Club-Statement) ein, und es folgte meine Turntable - Premiere in Erfurt. Nach dieser wurde ich sofort Resident-DJ im Joue Joue Club. Das dortige sehr "open-minded" Publikum fordert einen gerade dazu auf, an seinem Style zu feilen, und somit wuchs die Erfahrung meines Styleeditings. Eine meiner schönsten Eindrücke, die mir jetzt, oder gerade jetzt immer noch zu Teil wird ist meine Verbundenheit mit der Szene, durch die ich das bin, was ich bin - Joue Joue’s STEPHANO, mit knackigen Beats und dem groovefeeling für die Crowd.

Spanien, Frankreich, Italien, Ibiza, Schweiz, seine Wege führten ihn schon an unzählige Ort weltweit, DJ Tokn! Seit 2000 Resident des legendären Dresdner German Club, welchen Tokn als Mitgestalter und Resident Deejay formte. Am Höhepunkt seiner German Club Karriere und seiner bereits fünfjährigen Residentschaft verließ TOKN den Club um sich neuen Aufgaben zu stellen. Er agiert derzeit als Sommer Resident DJ im PUROBEACH und als Deejay im neueröffneten KRAFTWERK MITTE. Beim 2006 stattfindenden PRINZ Nightlife Awards war Tokn als bester Deejay nominiert und ging durch Publikumswahl als bester House Deejay Dresdens hervor. Doch nicht nur beim Platten auflegen, sondern auch in der Königsdisziplin, als Produzent seines eigenen Plattenlabels machte sich TOKN einen Namen. Wer kennt Sie nicht die Remixe von Disco Dice - Partypeople oder Marcapasos - iknow...damit landet er sogar auf Platz ein bei DJ Tunes.
